Green Gates Park & Me:
I attended Weaver Vale School and so did my 2 children. Calling into “green gates” was a huge part of my childhood and also my children’s childhood. We spent many a happy hour there and I am saddened to see it looking so neglected. I live in Wayford Close and although my own children are grown up now I feel this area of Frodsham is forgotten when it comes to provision of accessible green areas. The thought that houses maybe built on this land is shocking to me, do we not deserve to have a safe and welcoming area for future generations to play in and enjoy? I think we do. The plans/ideas for “green gates” will aim to include the whole community, this is what we need in our area, not more houses creating more congestion.
Quite honestly I don’t have experience of involvement with this kind of project. I am just a Frodsham resident who wants to keep this green space for future generations to enjoy. I do have involvement with our local branch of The Royal British Legion, I help fundraise for the branch and I am the Treasurer of the branch, I am hoping to put my experience as a volunteer Treasurer to use for this exciting project.
What my role involves:
As one of the treasurers, I have a watchdog role over all aspects of financial management, I also work closely with the chair to safeguard the organisation’s finances.
